Brother of director Sam Raimi, of Evil Dead Fame (Ted appeared in several of the Evil Dead films as an actor), and screen writer Ivan Raimi., Ted was born in Detroit.
At age seventeen he began his professional acting career doing industrial films in Detroit for Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. He attended University of Michigan, New York University, then finally University of Detroit.
Ted is best know for his roles as Lieutenant Tim O’Neill in seaQuest DSV and starring as Joxer the Mighty in Xena: Warrior Princess/Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He was also an actor and writer, known for Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007).
Ted Raimi is 50 years old today.
